Maiya – Single Implant
Hi, my name is Maiya Keitt. My whole process with needing an implant really began from when I was young. I wasn’t born with my lateral tooth on the right side, so I always knew I was going to have to go through the implant process, which, of course, being young, made me super nervous. So it started off when I got the braces put on, and I’m that kid walking around with like a huge gap, and then, Dr. Sonick came super highly recommended to me by my dentist, and I knew as soon as I came in for my first appointment that he was going to be the surgeon for me. I met him back in high school, and I had Prom coming up in a few months, and I said I had that huge gap, and he told me, you know, you can get a retainer that will look a bit like a fake tooth put in there. So for my prom pictures, my smile almost looks perfect already, and I was like, this is definitely the office for me. He made coming in here so awesome. I had an orthodontist, a dentist and a surgeon that all had to communicate at all times. When it started off, I needed bone grafting, and as someone that has never really had a major surgery like that, I was super nervous, and of course, worried about pain. But the surgery itself, and even the healing process afterward, was so completely painless. I was barely even swollen or anything like that, and every time I came into the office, not only Dr. Sonick, but all of the staff here just made sure that I understood what was going on, what we’re doing that day, how would be feeling afterward and just anything of the sort. I am so, so happy that he came recommended to me, and I would recommend him to anyone that I know that is going through a similar process. After about seven years of a whole orthodontist, dentist, surgery process, I really couldn’t be happier with how my smile came out, and being with Dr. Sonick and his team is amazing.
