On April, 27 2013, Dr. Michael Sonick presented at the American Academy of Implant Dentistry (AAID) Northeast and Southern Districts Meeting in Philadelphia, PA. His presentation “Implant Site Development in the Posterior Dentition” was well received, allowing a few laughs along the way. Dr Michael Sonick engaged his audience with life advice, as well as dental advice, ranging from the advantages and disadvantages of each of the treatment modalities, hard tissue augmentation techniques at the various phases of treatment, a review of site preservation, particulate bone grafting, guided bone regeneration, and ridge augmentation.
Dr. Sonick was one of a few presenters at the event, a few of his colleagues (pictured right) Dr. Edgar El Chaar and Dr. Dean Vafiadis also had amazing presentations. “Today implants must not only be osseointegrated, but in the right place and esthetic.” Dr. Michael Sonick discussed various cases dealing with proper gum, and teeth alignment, as well as proper implant placement, allowing for an overall esthetic look. Dr. Sonick is a one of a kind presenter, with strong knowledge on implants, and periodontics. His ability to engage his audience, and impart his knowledge to his peers, makes him both entertaining and extremely educational. Dr. Sonick is always willing to answer questions from the audience. Engaging with the patient is pertinent to his success. Ensuring the patient is comfortable, and relaxed makes a visit to Dr. Sonick’s practice enjoyable, and easy. In his lectures, he discusses, how important it is for the patient to have a pleasurable experience, alleviating all concerns. Patients should never fear coming to see their dentist, and Dr. Sonick preaches this in his practice. In addition to his lecture, Dr. Sonick hosts a Dental Club right here in Fairfield County.
