It is no longer enough for an implant to merely osseointegrate; it must be esthetic as well. The maxillary anterior dental implant is perhaps the most challenging for the clinician. A multiplicity of techniques must be mastered including but not limited to ideal implant placement, proper surgical technique, bone augmentation, soft tissue development and proper restoration.
